Ingredients

Crust
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour, spooned into measuring cup and leveled-off
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ½ cup Confectioners' sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup Magical Butter, cut into 1-inch pieces
Filling
  • ½ cup MagicalButter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup organic brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 ½ cups coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves

Crust
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Line the bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, and set aside.
  • In a food processor, add the flour, cornstarch, sugar and salt, and pulse the mixture 4 times.
  • Add the butter and pulse about 15 times. The mixture resembles coarse meal with small clumps of butter.
  • Pour the mixture into your baking dish and press firmly with your fingers into an even layer over the bottom. place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Take the crust out of the fridge, place in the middle of your preheated oven and bake the crust for 15-17 minutes. The crust should be set but not browned, about
  • Remove from the oven, and set on a cooling rack.
  • Keep your oven on.
