Brenda's Magical Butter Caramel Popcorn

Boil above ingredients 280-285° on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, mix well and pour over popped corn stirring to mix.
I place popped corn in a large aluminum turkey roaster pan and place in 250° oven, stirring every 15 minutes for 1 hour.
Take out let cool and place in sandwich bags or cute containers for gifting!!

I make this recipe at Christmas time with "magical" and "regular" butter, so I can share with all my family and friends! Those that partake in the "magic" and those that just like a good snack. So make sure to make a batch of both kinds!!
Down here in Texas we have RICO's bagged popcorn already popped and buttered. Makes the job even easier and VERY tasty buttered popcorn!
