Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients

½ cup Magical Butter

½ cup Molasses

½ teaspoon Ginger

1 teaspoon Allspice

1 teaspoon Cinnamon

1 teaspoon Cloves
-
½ cup Sugar
-
2 teaspoon Baking Soda
-
1 Egg
-
3 ½ cups Flour

Optional: Frosting and Icing for decorating
Directions
In a small sauce pot mix together sugar molasses ginger allspice cinnamon and cloves. Stir occasionally until your mixture begins to boil.
Add one stick of MagicalButter and stir until melted.
After the butter has melted add 2 teaspoons of baking soda. This will cause your mixture to foam (this is normal). Stir then transfer to a large mixing bowl.
Beat the egg in a separate bowl then add to foam mixture. Add flour and mix until is starts to form a dough. Remove dough from the mixing bowl and knead on a floured surface until completely mixed.
Divide dough in half and wrap one half in plastic wrap while you work on the other half. Roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out in your favorite holiday shapes and bake at 350º Fahrenheit for 12 minutes.
